Navigating the Date View in Photoshop Elements Photo Organizer
Shortcuts for Changing Views in the Date View of Elements Organizer

By Sue Chastain, About.com

Clicking the Date View button at the top right corner of Photoshop Elements Photo Organizer let's you browse your photo collection in a calendar based environment. When you're in the Year or Month Calendar View, you can quickly navigate to other dates.
  • Click the date in the upper right-hand corner (above the photo preview area) to manually enter a specific date and jump to it.
  • Click the Month heading at the top of the calendar in Month View to jump to another month in the same year. Months with photos in them with have a photo icon next to them.
  • Likewise, click on the Year heading at the top of either the Month or Year View to jump to a specific year. The years which have photos will show an icon.
  • From the year or month view, double click on any day in the grid to jump to the day view for that day. If there are photos for that day you can view them in a slide show by clicking the play button below the large photo. You can also enter a daily note or add an event. Daily notes are great for adding details about the photos taken on a particular day.

That photo preview in the right column of the Month and Year views is a lot more useful than it looks, too. Right click on the picture preview for access to all the editing commands.
