Scale Layer Effects for Any Resolution

Scale Layer Effects for Various Button Sizes
The same layer style is used for buttons of different sizes. The effects have been scaled to fit the size of the button.

I've been asked whether my free layer styles will work for high resolution or low resolution images. Generally, I create my layer styles using low resolution images, but a little-known command in Photoshop 6 and higher will allow you to scale the layer effects up or down in size. This allows you to adjust the size of all your layer effects for any resolution or size image.

In the example here, the middle button was created using one of my free layer styles. For the smaller button on the top, the layer effects were scaled to 75% of the original. For the larger button on the bottom, the effects were scaled to 150% of the original.
