Options and Type Effects
PhotoImpact
requires that you enter text in a dialog box, but you can still change text
formatting via the attribute bar. For editing text and character-level editing,
you'll need to use the dialog box. The dialog box can be sized to your needs,
and the formatting options can be hidden if you don't use them often.

New in version
6 are options for modifying line spacing, character spacing, and baseline shift.
You can also apply anti-aliasing, kerning, and create vertical text. In addition,
single character formatting can be applied to individual letters.

Text can be filled
with textures and gradients, and 3D effects can be created by adjusting various
controls for bevel, lighting, shading, and reflection.
Text
can be warped and bent, and converted to paths for further editing. Here's just
a few of the presets for text warping:

Type Effects allows you to customize over 20 different animation effects designed specifically for type.
