Photo Example
Bee increased 500%
Original size: 651x537
Resized: 3255x2685
Printed at 300 ppi.
Note: Speed was reasonable (under a minute) for this image on a AMD Athlon 2700 with 1 GB RAM (Windows XP). Speed degrades significantly as you get into higher increases. I used 500% in my examples because I felt that this was the average amount most users would be likely to use. When I attempted the maximum increase of 1600% on a 2 megapixel image, I was told that 1100% was the maximum the image could be resized with my available RAM. I dropped down to 1000% and ended up cancelling the operation after watching the status bar creep along for several minutes. Closing programs may have enabled the higher increase and faster processing.
