Plant
Studio is a botanical illustration tool for creating 3D images
of plants. From the author, "PlantStudio simulates herbaceous
(non-woody) plants like wildflowers and cut flowers, vegetables,
weeds, grasses, and herbs using a parameter-driven simulation
of plant growth and structure. You can 'grow' plants over their
life cycles, producing lifelike images at any age. You can design,
animate, and breed a wide variety of plants." Plant
Studio features a step-by-step wizard where you can choose from
a library of plants to compose plants, mutate existing plants,
and create your own leaves and other structures. In addition,
Plant Studio allows you to create animations, nozzles, tubes,
and image sprays. Plant pictures can be copied to the clipboard
for use in other applications, saved as BMP files, or exported
to DXF format for use in 3D programs.
