About the Digital Scrapbook Layout
The first Digital Scrapbook picture is a picture of my precious pup Casey. We spent some time in a park here in town one day, and he just loved the kiddie park!! The beautiful Sunny skies are the way our sky looks almost every day of the year!
The second Scrap that I've attached is my Casey reading by the pool! He is one smart pup! We call it "Catch the Reading Bug."
Software and Techniques Used
I use Photoshop Elements 6. The first Scrap has some reduced opacity on the larger background picture of Casey. I used a filter called Texture to give it a little bit of a "rough" look. The letters also have some beveling.
The second Scrap has only some beveling of the words and an outer glow effect around the letters.
Advice
- Digital Scrapbooking is so much fun...and relaxing...and you can do beautiful pictures with it. It took a while to figure out a lot of the different techniques, but it was so worth the time.
- I am now in the process of learning Photoshop CS3.
What software do you use for digital scrapbooking? Why?
At the moment I used Photoshop Elements 6 but I am studying Photoshop CS3. Photoshop Elements is a good software to use to begin learning Scrapping with.
What got you started in digital scrapbooking?
I belong to a website called Dogster.com and they introduced me to Digital Scrapbooking... in particular, a group on Dogster called Simple Scraps for Dogs and Cats. We not only do Scraps for our pups pictures, but we also do Scrap backgrounds for each of our pups profile pages.
Where do your get your inspiration?
Dogster friends.
