My Holiday Project
I usually create our own holiday card, using photos that we've taken over the past year. In some cases, I've sent them electronically, mainly because I'm running late and want the recipient to know that we're thinking of them.
Project Details and Instructions
I work in QuarkXPress and Photoshop.
I simply create a new document, inserting the artwork that I might have doctored (see attached card), adding layers of text or special effects, and insert a personal saying or quote in the inside. You have to be comfortable in figuring out how your printer prints front/back up/down when creating the card, but that takes only a few black/white practice sessions.
Generally, I keep the design very simple. It's a greeting, not a design project, after all! Just have fun with this!
