Project Details and Instructions
I used Photoshop CS4 along with images found on the web. I created the frame from a candy cane image and using a page curl filter that I have then used that image on the top, bottom and sides. I created the TEXT from a candy cane image. I designed and assembled the PSKING treasure chest in Bryce 6. I used a vibrance adjustment layer on top to enhance the colors.
Tips and Tricks
- AV Bros. Page Curl Pro is an awesome Photoshop plugin for those with an imagination.
- I used the blur tool to blend the jaggedy edges of all the individual cutout images. It was very time consuming because there are so many layers within this image.
- The stars were created using star shapes from the custom shape menu and then duplicating the layer and selecting the layer transparency and pasting various Christmas images into the selections using the paste into command from the edit menu. Then reselecting the original star layer, I applied a gradient glow filter to it.
- Bryce is cool software for creating images.
