Interlocking Rings in Xara Xtreme

Select the middle ring, then Shift-click the black rectangle to select both objects. Make sure you have both objects selected by checking the status bar. Then go to Arrange > Apply ClipView. The rectangle becomes a "mask" for the top gold ring, and a keyhole icon shows in the center and top left corner of the rectangle to indicate that this is a ClipView group.
