Select the selector tool in the toolbox. Look down at the right side of the status bar for the "Live Drag Indicator." If this is an icon of a pointer with a blue circle, double click on it so you get a pointer with an empty circle. This lets you see the original position of an object as you drag it. Now click on the gold ring and drag to one side, press the right mouse button to lay down a copy of the gold ring. Drag to the other side and right click to drop a second copy of the gold ring.
You should have three gold rings now, but they may not be perfectly aligned. Drag a rectangle around all three rings to select them. The status bar should say "3 blends" to indicate what is selected. Go to Arrange > Alignment. Set object alignment to:
Within: selection bounds
Horizontal: Distribute equi-spaced
Vertical: align centrally
Then click apply. If the rings are overlapping too much or not enough, use the arrow keys to adjust them.
