Most likely, you now have a plain circle filled with black. Go to the color bar along the bottom of the screen and right click on the Orange-Yellow square, then left click on the no color square. (A right click will set the line color and a left click sets the fill color.)
Now the fill is the correct color, but it is too thin. Go up to the standard tool bar, and change the line width to 16pt.
