The arrow example shown here shows the contour tool. By clicking and dragging any of the arrow handles, the contour is created. You can adjust the number of steps in the contour, change color effects, adjust the contour width and location, and the join properties of the lines right from the Infobar, a context sensitive toolbar that is always visible at the top of the screen.
The other examples show the Direct Action technology with gradients, shadows, bevels, transparency, and contours.
