Frame
This is my favorite! Frame adds realistic mattes, frames, and
borders in several styes from traditional to novelty. Over 100
frame files are includes in these categories: Art Nouveau borders,
Geometric borders, Mattes, Novelty frames, and Photo-realistic
wood frames. Options are provided for adjusting the frame size
and margin.
Photoshop (6 and higher) users can also create custom frame files. Lori Davis also has a tutorial for creating them in Paint Shop Pro. I have created several custom frames, which you can download for free from this site.
Because Splat! tiles the frame sections, the frames do not become stretched and distorted when applied to your images.
I applied the frame filter on three separate layers for this
example. Once for the matte, again for the decorate flourish
on the matte, and again for the outer wood frame. I added a
touch of realism with subtle drop shadows and an inner shadow
on the flourish.
Here again I used layers and three different frame files.
