Welcome to Photoshop Elements 3 - A Tour of Photoshop Elements' Workspaces

The File Browser can be accessed from Quick Fix or Standard Edit through the File > Browse Folders or Window > File Browser command. It lets you browse thumbnails of your photos on a folder by folder basis, unlike the Photo Organizer which allows you to browse all your photos no matter where they are located on disk and offers much more powerful indexing and search features. However, the file browser can be useful, particularly for processing multiple files, and for opening image files that are not part of your photo catalog.
