Fine-Tuning the Shadow and Adding a Pattern Fill

Babycard05
Now you can go back to the shadow layer and fine-tune the shadow with the paint brush a little more. If your shadow gets to looking too harsh, you can go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur to soften it down some, and you can also dial down the opacity of the layer from the opacity slider on the layers palette.

Now click the empty square next to the eye icon for the baby layer (it will show a chain). This locks the shadow and the baby layer together so you can move them as one. Switch to the move tool and re-center the baby if you need to.

All we need to do now is add a border and some text. Activate the background layer, then click the new adjustment layer button and choose pattern. In the patern fill dialog, click the swatch to select a pattern, adjust the scale and click OK. I am using one of the patterns from my free plaid set.
