In addition to the new Photomerge modes introduced in version 6, now Photomerge includes a Scene Cleaner mode which works a lot like the Photomerge Group Shot, but is intended for photos of scenery rather than group shots of people.

The idea is that you'd capture several shots of the same scene, and by bringing these multiple shots into Scene Cleaner, you are able to scribble out unwanted elements from the scene to give you one good photo without the distracting elements. This works best for those scenery where you have random people cluttering the scene. It's not meant for removing static distractions in a scene.

Because I couldn't find any personal photos that met the criteria for using this features, the screen shot shown here is from Adobe's press materials. The feature works well, provided you have the necessary multiple shots.
