Make your Photos Super Secret in Photoshop Elements Organizer

By Sue Chastain, About.com

Here's a tip for photos you want to make "super secret" in Photoshop Elements Organizer, without removing them from your catalog entirely. Of course, to truly protect photos from prying eyes, the safest thing is to remove them from your catalog and your hard drive. This method won't fool a determined snoop or someone who's fairly familiar with the Organizer, but it can give some photo a double-layer of protection.
  1. Import a rather boring photo into your catalog. We'll use this as a dummy file.
  2. Select this along with the other photos you want to make super-secret.
  3. Drop the Hidden tag onto the photos.
  4. Stack the selected photos and make your dummy file the top photo.
Now even if someone is curious enough to search on the hidden tag, chances are they won't notice the stacked photos, or they will see the top photo and just assume it is more of the same.
