Hide the Toolbar and Filmstrip in Photo Review Mode of Elements Organizer
Turn Off the Toolbar and Filmstrip in Photo Review or Photo Compare

By , About.com Guide

Do you dislike seeing the filmstrip and toolbar when you are in the Photo Review or Photo Compare view of Photoshop Elements Organizer? There is an undocumented feature that can remove this screen clutter.
  1. Go to Photo Review (F11).
  2. Press the Action Menu button in the toolbar, and choose "Photo Review Preferences..."
  3. While the Photo Review Preferences dialog box is open, press Control-Alt-Shift-F.
  4. A dialog box will pop up showing "Special UI Mode: Yes".

When "Special UI Mode" shows "Yes" the Photo Review will not show the film strip and the toolbar will fade away when there is no cursor movement. The arrow keys on your keyboard can be used to move forward and backward through the photos. F5 can be used to pause and resume the slide show.

The Special UI Mode can be toggled on and off at any time by pressing Control-Alt-Shift-F while the Photo Review Preferences dialog box is open. The Special UI Mode can also be enabled for the Photo Compare view, except that the filmstrip will remain showing, unless you collapse it using the tiny arrow on the left of the filmstrip.
