Generate Instant Tags in Photoshop Elements Photo Organizer

Quick Shortcut for Tagging Pictures

If you're just getting started with the new Photo Organizer in Photoshop Elements 3 and you already have your photos fairly well organized into folders, you're in luck! The instant tag feature of Organizer will make your life so much easier. To use this feature you should switch the photo well to view by folder location. Do this from the menu in the lower left corner of the screen. In folder view, the photo well will display divider bars separating each folder of pictures. On the far right of this bar you will see the "Instant Tag" icon. Clicking this icon will allow you to create a new tag based on the folder name and it will also apply this tag to all items in that folder. If your folder names aren't perfect, that's okay. You'll have a chance to edit the tag name and choose a category for it.
