Photoshop plugins open up all sorts of creative possibilities and the set of Freebies from Flaming Pear includes filters that can produce a variety of results.
Over the next few pages I will show you how five of Flaming Pear's Freebies plugin can be used to change the appearance of a single photo to give a range of effects.
If you would like to try some of these effects for yourself or experiment to produce your own results, just visit the Flaming Pear Freebies page and download the plugins. You can use them in any image editor that is compatible with .8bf files.
For this piece, I've used GIMP, along with the PSPI plugin, to execute the filters.
