History Palette Buttons

Photoshop History Palette
Along the bottom of the History palette you'll find three buttons.
  1. The first button creates a new document and works just like the duplicate command. The only difference is that the new document is automatically assigned a name based on the last editing state in the History palette. When you duplicate the image this way, all history states are deleted for the duplicate.

  2. The next button creates a new snapshot. This is quicker than using the menu command but it does not give you the dialog box to name the snapshot. The snapshots will automatically be named in numeric sequence.

  3. The third button deletes the current state or snapshot depending on what is selected in the palette.
