With the background hearts layer selected, I will click to make rows of small hearts. I'll use the Color Picker to change the color, or in the Options bar I'll lighten the color by changing the opacity, or choose a different heart brush; all of which was covered earlier in the tutorial. You can size, color, and arrange the hearts differently than I have, making it your own design.
It's done! The techniques used in this tutorial can now be applied to your Valentine's Day project, or to any project that calls for custom shapes, brushes, and layer styles.
