New Raster Layer
Create a new raster layer by clicking the New Raster Layer icon at the top of the Layer Palette. When the dialog box pops up, just leave the default settings 'as is' and click OK.

Repeat the above step to create a new Custom Selection by clicking the Selection Tool and the CUSTOM icon again.

  • For the left position enter 50
  • For the top position enter 0
  • For the right position enter 100
  • For the bottom position enter 50

    Click OK and use the Flood Fill Tool to fill this selected area (on the new layer) with the same red color.

    Repeat the above step to create a new Custom Selection by clicking the Selection Tool and the CUSTOM icon again.

  • Left position enter 0
  • Top position enter 50
  • Right position enter 50
  • Bottom position enter 100

    Click OK and use the Flood Fill Tool to fill this selected area with the same red color (again, on the new layer)
