Now... how shall we color in the chalkboard? They come in many colors including white...but I decided on a greenboard using H55S37L87.
Let's do all our coloring on a new layer. Create a new raster layer and name it 'color'. On the Layer Palette drag this new layer button so it is below the chalkboard layer.
Select the chalkboard layer and with the Magic Wand tolerance 20 select the inside area of the chalkboard. You can probably see that the Magic Wand left some stray pixels... not to worry! Select from the upper menu Selections > Modify > Expand and enter 2 for pixels. Select OK.
Now while still selected make the new 'color' layer the active layer by selecting its button on the Layer palette. Use the Flood Fill tool to fill the selection with the gray-green on the 'color' layer. Deselect.
If you haven't already this is probably a good time to Save your image. Please name it chalksig.
