Locate and Open your Photo
If you know where your photo is stored on your computer, open it. If you need to, you can find it using Paint Shop Pro Photo's Organizer. Begin by typing the file in the search box at the top of the Organizer. Your collection of image files is automatically filtered.

Once you find the photo you want to use, click the thumbnail image. The blue outline area will appear to show that it is the selected image. Hold the mouse button down. Drag the image out onto your workspace. You should see your cursor change from a plain arrow to an arrow with a square, which contains a plus sign (+) as shown here.

Once you have opened your file, create a duplicate to work with and then close the original. Save the duplicate image that you will be working with to a safe place on your hard-drive in psp format.
