The Auto-Painting Palette:
Now you are ready to begin the Auto Painting process. Begin by selecting your Stroke. From the drop-down arrow choose the Medium Dab brush stroke. From the Brush Selector choose the Chalk-Square Chalk Variant. Make sure that you have enabled the Clone Color Stamp on the Color Palette. From the Auto-Painting palette choose the "play" button and your strokes will begin to appear on the canvas layer. Remember to start and stop your strokes often, change size and opacity levels. To change the settings use the sliders located on the palette. If you don't want to apply "Rotation" for instance then uncheck it. I selected the Chalk, Square Chalk variant, then about halfway through the process I switched to Oils, Smeary Round. Notice that I am not using the Cloner brushes but the standard brush variants from the Brush Selector. Remember that most of your brushes can be used as Cloner Brushes by enabling the Clone Color Stamp on the Colors Palette.
If you disable the Clone Color Stamp, or uncheck it and let the strokes run with your selected color you may find that you add an interesting element to your image as well. Enable it again to regain some of the original colors from the clone source.
