This is a simple technique and anyone who is comfortable with using a computer should have no difficulty following along, even if they've never used Inkscape. If you're one of those who is unfamiliar with Inkscape, this is a free open source drawing app that can be used to produce vector line graphics. These graphics can be easily scaled to any size and will never show any degradation in their quality, unlike raster images, such as your digital photos, which can become very pixelated if their size is increased.
If you'd like to follow along with this tutorial, you can find out more about Inkscape in our review of the app and you'll also find a link to the official Inkscape website where you can download a free copy of the software. There are versions for Windows, Mac OS X and linux.
Once you've got a copy of Inkscape installed, move onto the next page and we'll get started.
