Text Effects in Illustrator CS - Multiple Strokes on Type

I've shown you how to stroke type, but did you know that using the Appearance palette you can add multiple strokes?

Step 1. Open a new document in Illustrator in pixels and RGB mode. Type a word or words you would like to outline. A font that's fairly simple works best, without a lot of curlicues. Also it will work better if it isn't a bold font. This one is Georgia Regular, at 72 points.
