Spider - Construct the Spider's Body

Construct the Spider's Body
On an empty part of the page, use the ellipse tool to draw two ovals for the spider body, one larger than the other, and position them as shown. Select both of them and use the Pathfinder palette (Window > Pathfinder) to merge them into one shape by option/alt-clicking the Add to Shape Area button, or click the Add to Shape Area button and then click Expand. Give the spider body a black fill.
