Hiding the overlap

Step 10. Make a rectangle shape that goes from the center line to the right and covers the front of the card. The color of the rectangle is not important. In the layers palette, click the circle on the right side of the artwork layer, hold the cmd/ctrl key, and click the circle on the right side of the rectangle layer. This will target and select only those two objects. Note: Make sure to target and select all of the objects that make up your artwork. I turned the jack-o-lantern into a symbol, so there was only one object to select besides the rectangle for the clipping mask.
