Adding Illustrations to the Eggs
You also use 3D Revolve to add images to the eggs. Artwork that you map to 3D objects has to be converted to a symbol before you can use it, so draw the illustration you want to use, and then drag it to the Symbols palette to convert it to a symbol. If you prefer, use symbols you download. There are lots of symbols at Adobe Exchange for free download. Double click on the 3D Revolve entry in the Appearance Palette again, and when the 3D Revolve options open, click the Map Art button. You will find it just below the Cancel button on the top right side of the dialog. First choose a Surface of the egg on which you want the artwork mapped. You can see the active surface in red.
