About the image: This image started also a photographs of different pieces of colored glass. I had no concept in mind. I started by extracting different shapes from the photos of the glass. Using the liquify tool in Photoshop I came up with the whale and that decided the direction of the final image. From there it was a matter of creating the dolphin and the waves with the liquify tool, each on an individual layer, then adding a sky to the image with a gradient that I liked behind that.
