Type of graphics software user: Photographer
Experience with graphics software: 12 years
Operating System: Windows
About the image: This image was done on the old "Canvas 6" software. I still use it occasionally. The software was kind of like having Photoshop and Illustrator together in one program. The pheonix was added later in Photoshop for the turn of the century.
What graphics software do you use on a regular basis?
Photoshop CS, I have Painter IX but do not use it yet. I use a couple of the Auto FX programs frequently, the NIK Color tools, Neat Image noise reduction and Genuine Fractals. I organize with Elements 4.0.
What was the first graphics program you learned?
Deneba's Canvas 6.0.
What is your all-time favorite graphics program and why?
Photoshop CS because of its large number of options for about any move you want to make on your image.
How do you use graphics software in your day-to-day activities?
I do photography and graphics for a hobby, but usually do some graphic related activity every day.
What is your best graphics tip or piece of advice?
Stick to it. Learn the software. To become proficient you have to work at it.
Where do you get your inspiration?
My best images come from nowhere. I like to just sit down and start on an image with no pre concieved idea of where it is going.
