Answer: If you've enjoyed the free presets offered on this site, why not pay back the community by submitting some of your own presets to share with others? Anyone may submit presets for possible inclusion on this site. Selected presets will be published along with a byline, bio, and optional link to your site. I am currently accepting submissions for the following types of presets:

By submitting through this method, you grant About.com non-exclusive license to publish the material. Copyright ownership remains with the author, who may also use the material elsewhere.

You may send your preset files along with preview images as a zip file attachment to my email address (10 MB maximum--see below for larger files). File attachments other than zip will be deleted unopened. Important: Please put "Preset Submission" in the subject line and include the following text in the body of the email along with your submission:

I certify that I am the author or sole owner of the material I am submitting to About.com. About.com and its licensees may reproduce, distribute, publish, display, edit, modify, create derivative works and otherwise use the material for any purpose in any form and on any media. I agree to indemnify About.com for all damages and expenses that may be incurred in connection with the material.

I can not accept submissions without this agreement!

Along with the files, also include:

• Your real full name.
• A nickname if you don't want your real name used for your byline.
• A description of what you are submitting. Be specific. List each file in the zip archive with a description of what it is.
• A preview image that shows what each preset file contains.
• A brief bio about yourself and your credentials. Include your Web site URL if desired.
• Any special instructions for posting your presets.

Don't forget the attachment!

Sending Large Files

If you need to send a file larger than 10 MB, you will need to upload the file somewhere (personal web site, file share service) and send me an email as described above, but replace the zip file attachment with a link to the file. I can also accept large files via Pando.
