Bitmap and Vector Masks with Fireworks

A bitmap mask is applied to bitmap images, and is made using selections or the Brush tool.

In the Layers panel, I will lock the Cat 2 layer and click its eye icon to make the image on the canvas invisible. I'll then unlock the Cat 1 layer.
