Graphics Software on a Budget
Online Auctions

By , About.com Guide

You can find loads of discounted software at online auctions such as eBay. These sites offer both new and used copies of software being sold by individuals as well as businesses. Be careful with online auctions; read the descriptions carefully, and ask questions about anything you are unclear on. Things to specifically look for when buying from online auctions are:
  • does the software include manuals?
  • is it new or used?
  • will you be able to register the software?
  • do you still qualify for technical support?
  • is it a full or limited version of the software?

Auction buying can be both addicting and exciting, but remember to use common sense. With a little luck you're likely to find a some great deals on graphics software. If you're unsure about an auction you've seen somewhere, post in the forum (include the URL if you have one) and we'll try to help you determine if it's a legitimate offer.
