Adding the Hotspots

Adding the Hotspots
Use the Pick tool to choose the first area you wish to make into a hotspot. If the Object Properties Docker is not shown, open it now from Window > Dockers > Properties or Alt + Enter). Choose the Internet Tab (it looks like a spider web) from the top of the Properties Docker.

For Behavior, choose URL from the popup menu. This tells CorelDRAW this hotspot will be opening a web page.

For URL, type in the URL of the web page you want the hotspot to open.

Target: This is the small icon made of concentric circles (that, oddly enough, rather resembles a target!). The target tells the browser where you want to open the link: (none) will open the page in the same window; if you want the link to open in a new webpage, choose _blank.

ALT Comments: Add the ALT text for the image slice here. Highlight the word "Comments" and replace it with the ALT text you want. Alt text is read for sight-impaired viewers who are using text recognition software to read the page to them.

Define hotspot using: I chose Object's Shape, but you can also choose Object boundaries.

Save your work before exporting as a CorelDRAW file.
