Create a New Web-sized Document
Go to File > New to start a new document. To change the document size to a common web size, go to Layout > Page Setup. In the left pane, Document should already br chosen for you, but if it isn't click the + sign to open the menu. Click the + beside Page to open it, and highlight Size to display the page size options in the right pane. In the right pane, make sure the radio box by Normal Paper is ticked. Open the popup menu by Paper and choose Web Page (760 X 420), or if you prefer, enter a custom width and height in the width and height boxes. Set the Resolution at 96.
