Create and explore flame fractals that resemble colored light. Customize the effect by choosing from seven styles, editable gradients, and infinite genetic mutations.

Each of these examples was rendered on a solid black background.

Here you can see the FraxFlame control panels. You control the color of the fractal forms through the gradient panel where you can choose from several presets or customize your own. The mutations panel offers random variations according to the style selected in the style panel. Clicking repeatedly in the mutations panel generates more cousins. The genetic variation slider controls how closely related the cousins are to the parent fractal. The Navigation panel allows you to pan and zoom the fractal within the preview, and the rendering panel lets you adjust the quality of the rendered fractals.
