All editing functions in Photoshop Express are non-destructive and non-linear, meaning you can undo one or many editing revisions, no matter what order they are applied. Suppose you crop the photo and then correct the red eye and later decide you want to undo the crop but keep the red eye fix; you would simply uncheck the box next to the crop function. And you can always revert all changes, even after the edits are saved.

Below the picture you have your standard undo and redo buttons, but you also have the triangle in between them. Clicking this displays a strip of thumbnails along the bottom of the screen which shows every step of your editing process so you can go back to an earlier edit, or compare your progress.

In this screen shot I am using the Sketch effect. Many of the editing functions in Photoshop Express are presented as variations which are shown in the thumbnails along the top of the screen. You simply hold your mouse over each thumbnail to see that variation applied to the image, and click on the thumbnail when you find the variation you like best.

Other editing functions--such as crop, red eye, and touchup--require you to click and drag on the image to make adjustments.
