And how to find answers to your questions about graphics software

I receive lots of email and unfortunately can't respond to it all with personalized solutions. Frequently asked questions and additional tips for getting answers are provided below.

Search This Site

There are two basic ways to find specific information on the graphics software site:
1. Use the categories on the left side of the page to browse for information; or
2. Type keywords into the search box at the top of the page.

Post to the Forum

The forum is an interactive extension to this site where you can discuss all aspects of graphics software. I check the forum regularly, and if I know the answer to your question or have suggestions I will help you there. In addition, other forum visitors may be able to offer detailed advice and suggestions I might not have thought of. Best of all, other people get to share the question and answer, and that's what this site is all about. More about the forum...

Related Sites

If you don't find what you're looking for here, it may be because that topic is covered on another About site. The most closely related sites are listed below, or visit the A-Z list for a complete list of About topics.
  • Page layout software such as QuarkXPress, Acrobat, PageMaker, InDesign, and Publisher are covered on About.com's Desktop Publishing and Graphic Design GuideSites. These sites also have resources to help you learn more about the business of graphic design and desktop publishing.
  • Web page editors such as FrontPage, Dreamweaver, and GoLive are covered on the Web Design site where you can also find a wealth of information about the business of Web publishing and coding Web pages. For those dabbling in Web publishing of a non-professional nature, there's also the Personal Web Pages site.
  • You find even more software, hardware, programming, and operating system sites from the Computing/Technology channel.

Reporting Problems

For network-related problems such as difficulty accessing pages, problems printing pages, forum log-in problems, and comments about ads, please contact About Customer Service. If you find a broken link on this site, please email me the link title and the page title or URL where the link is located. I'll correct the link or remove it if a replacement cannot be found.

A Word About Ads

The advertising on this site keeps the site free for you and allows me to be paid for the time involved in maintaining a site like this. As a Guide, I am not involved in decisions regarding the content, frequency, or format of the advertising on About. If you have a comment about the ads you have seen on this site, the best way to get your message to the appropriate parties is by filling out the feedback form to customer care. For information on advertising opportunities with About.com, see our advertiser pages.

Email Your Guide

Like all the Guides at About.com, I'm a real person. If the items above are not appropriate to your situation, feel free to email me. Your comments and suggestions are welcome! To keep my email volume manageable, please consider these requests before emailing me:
  • NO email attachments. I delete them unopened.
  • I prefer plain text email over stationary.
  • Use an informative subject line. If your message has no subject or looks like spam, I may never see it.
  • Use good English and grammar. It's the only language I know. Don't use ALL CAPS, but do separate sentences with the best punctuation you can muster, and use the Shift key where appropriate.
  • A kind request goes a long way. I don't respond to impolite demands. And if you received an answer and found it helpful, I do appreciate it when you take a moment to let me know.
  • Please don't email me to ask me about my last name. I don't do genealogy and I find these questions intrusive.
  • Your questions about choosing or using graphics software should be posted in the graphics software discussion forum. I'm sorry, but I don't provide personalized answers by email or telephone. If you ignore this request and email your question to me anyway, it will only slow down your answer, but you will get a nice form letter from me asking that you to post your question in the forum. :-)

Click here to email me. Whether I hear from you or not, if you read this far, thanks!
