“...there are some changes in the works today that could have a significant impact on the next generation of Web graphics.”

When the Internet began it was primarily a text-based medium. Then came the World Wide Web and with it came graphics, sound, animation, and streaming multimedia. Now we find ourselves on the horizon of a new millennium and it's exciting to think about the possibilities in store. To be sure, we are about to see big changes in the next ten years, but there are some changes in the works today that could have a significant impact on the next generation of Web graphics. On the following pages, I'll pinpoint the highlights of three promising graphics formats that could become quite important sooner rather than later...
