Recently, I heard about DreamSuite from a friend and I bought it. To me, this is right at the top of my list of good software. It can be used as a plug-in for Photoshop or as a stand-alone program. Either way, it is exceptionally good.

I find the interface intuitive and not clunky like a lot of plug-ins. The different effects are controlled separately and to me this is a big plus.

In my business (music production) I do all of the labels for the tapes and CDs and DreamSuite added a whole new dimension to my work.

Nor do I feel the price of $299 is excessive for the quality of the product. Sure, there are a lot of plug-ins you can get much cheaper, but basically they are geared to the people who just want to play with Photoshop and not do real work with it. It is actually more of an extension to Photoshop - what Adobe should have done and didn't do.

I thought so much of DreamSuite, I found an instructor for it at the new school a friend and I are starting in January. It didn't deserve to be lumped in with other plug-ins. I have used cheaper plug-ins and even free ones, but since I started using DreamSuite, I seldom ever open any other.

When I installed the patch designed to make it run faster and use less system resources, it did exactly that. It went in seamlessly, immediately found the original version with no problems at all. I have it on a P2 400 mhz system with 256 meg of ram running Windows 98SE.

For people who are interested in a quality product and are Photoshop Professionals, this is the exact software they need to do their enhancements.

If you need to do quality work with your graphics, DreamSuite is the product for you.
