Interest/Experience with graphics software: On The Job

Operating System: Windows 9x

Started with Terragen to create the mostly hidden background. Then used PSP7 to crop and manipulate the photographs. Captured the photographs with freehand tool. That gave me the "soft" edges. Each photo was on a different layer, that made creating the collage possible.

What graphics software do you use on a regular basis?
Paint Shop Pro, Terragen, Ultra Fractal, QSFlame, Blade Pro Plugin.

What was the first graphics program you learned?
Paint Shop Pro 3

What is your all-time favorite graphics program and why?
Paint Shop Pro. Very versatile and powerful. Affordable.

How long have you been working with graphics software?
7+ years

How do you use graphics software in your day-to-day activities?
Tweak a photograph for my Web site. Create an image for fun.

What is your best graphics tip or piece of advice?
Learn to manage layers. Helpful list of graphics programs: http://www.wrhine.com/faq/ This is the FAQ for the alt.binaries.comp-graphics newsgroup.

Where do you get your inspiration?
Music, current events. Someone said or did something really stupid.

I had the privilege of taking my boy to a baseball game this year (2001). This is a collage of several photographs and the song added.

Part of my "poster series". Terragen for background and Almathera lightning plugin. Having fun with fonts. I though it would be good for a snicker.

Terragen for background. The lyrics of a song, Simple Gifts, that is a personal favorite. More font play.

Having fun with QS Flame fractal program. Post work merging 3 fractals with PSP and Blade Pro plugin.
