Interest/Experience with graphics software: Hobbyist
Operating System: Windows 9x
Using a freeware font created by Unauthorized
Type, I employed a stained glass technique to created the
look. The leading is a Blade Pro Preset of my own invention,
while the stained glass panels were created using Blade Pro
Presets I also created. Some lighting highlights were added
using the freeware "Greg's Spotlight Filter".
What
graphics software do you use on a regular basis?
Paint Shop Pro, Blade Pro, Super Blade Pro, and Hue and Cry
What
was the first graphics program you learned?
Paint Shop Pro
What
is your all-time favorite graphics program and why?
I'ts actually a plug-in program called Blade Pro. It's easy
to use, doesn't require the sale of your first-born to afford,
and is incredibly versatile.
How
long have you been working with graphics software?
Over 3 years.
How
do you use graphics software in your day-to-day activities?
Mostly to create free stuff I give away on my
main website, but also to create graphics for the CDs I
sell.
What
is your best graphics tip or piece of advice?
Have patience with yourself. Rome was not built in a day.
Where
do you get your inspiration?
I tend to look at freeware dingbat font images and think, "How
can I make that really, really, really cool?" I am VERY careful
not to violate anyone's copyrights.

I like sparlky jewels! What woman doesn't?! Here I created two
Blade Pro presets, one to resemble gold, the other sapphire,
to make this image from the freeware font "Christian Crosses",
which I got at, Unauthorized
Type.

To create the look of a decorated chocolate candy bar, I, again,
used my original Blade Pro Presets. I also used a dingbat font
purchased from, GraphxEdge.

Using a Blade Pro Preset I created to make a quilted look, and
a font dingbat purchased from GraphxEdge,
I made this quilt of a boy looking at the moon on Halloween.

This is a seamless texture I created using Paint Shop Pro. Ever
have one of those things you create and then, when it's all
done you wonder, "How the heck DID I do that?" Well, this is
one of those things...
