This is a vector illustration started in CorelDRAW 8 and completed
in CorelDRAW 9. I used a scanned photograph from a mail order
magazine as a template. It took a while to finish because I
worked on it in my "free time."
What
graphics software do you use on a regular basis?
Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW & Adobe Illustrator
What
was the first graphics program you learned?
TOPDRAW
What
is your all-time favorite graphics program and why?
CorelDRAW because I have gotten to become familiar with it and
I can do a lot of things with it. Also, it has a lot of built-in
features that other programs need third party plugins for.
How
long have you been working with graphics software?
about 5 years now
How
do you use graphics software in your day-to-day activities?
At my job I have taken on the responsibility of creating whatever
desktop publishing and graphic design projects come about. Also
I have started doing freelance work here and there.
What
is your best graphics tip or piece of advice?
Take time to experiment with your software. The better you know
what your software can do, the more efficient and creative you
can be. Once you know what something does, you can figure out
how to use it in an unconventional manner to reach your goal.
Where
do you get your inspiration?
I get my inspiration from different magazines (Mac Design, Photoshop
User & Dynamic Graphics) and books and artists' Web sites.

This was created for a friend of mine using CorelDRAW8 and CorelPhoto-Paint
8. She supplied me with the pictures of the model (her son)
and the clothes. In Photo-Paint I removed the background and
placed them individually into CorelDRAW where I set the text
and created the background.

This image was created using COrelXARA v1.5 (or 1.0.. I can't
remember). It is a vector image drawn using a mouse.

This image was also created using CorelXara v1.5 (or 1.0.. still
can't remember). It is a vector image created using a mouse
and my keyboard as a reference.

This image was created to display one of my poems, using CorelPhoto-Paint
8 and CorelDRAW 8. The images of the women were stock photos
which I ran multiple filters on. The background was also created
in Photo-Paint and the text was set in CorelDRAW.
