This image was created in Photoshop. I started the image by
using line tool to make the little open box and eyes then switched
to the airbrush to do the hair lines. Once done with that I
made some channels of the all the layers. Used gaussian blur
to get the raised effect and contract to change the colors within
the lines. Pretty simple little picture.

Photoshop is my favorite because of the depth of the program.
There are so many effects you can do without using third party
filters.

I just play around with the software as a hobby and for graphics
for my web page.

is your best graphics tip or piece of advice?
Try anything and try it often.
Where
do you get your inspiration?
It could be anything. Things I've seen while going to work,
watching tv or some of my kids cartoons.
Was made in my Fireworks program... Yeah, I sometimes use that
one too. I used three layers; one for the color, the second
for the tile, and a third for the text.
