Interest/Experience with graphics software: Hobbyist
Operating System: Windows 9x

If memory serves me correctly, I used an old pragram - 3D Font
Maker. It only saves in its own format of as WMF. I saved it
as a WMF, converted it to JPG to add a slight 'blur' then converted
it to GIF, where it was 15% smaller and my PC at the time only
supported 256 colors.
What
graphics software do you use on a regular basis?
Micrografx Picture Publisher 8 (used since ver 4), ZSoft Paintbrush
for Windows (disc for years), IrfanView (for viewing & conversions),
Qimage (for printing multiple pictures), Jpegcrop (lossless
JPG cropping)
What
was the first graphics program you learned?
ZSoft PC Paintbrush (DOS)
What
is your all-time favorite graphics program and why?
Probably ZSoft PC Paintbrush, because you always remember the
first.
How
long have you been working with graphics software?
Around 9 years
How
do you use graphics software in your day-to-day activities?
Day to day - mostly just for cropping/editing digital pictures.
What
is your best graphics tip or piece of advice?
Don't be afraid to try anything. It cost nothing to experiment,
and "undo" is the greatest feature of any software.
Where
do you get your inspiration?
That's a hard one. If you ask me to make a picture of anything
I want, all that I will think of is a blank screen. But ask
for a title slide for your Railroad slides, poster to advertise
crafts, business cards or a proposal for a new store and POW
I'll throw it together.

Made in Picture Publisher 8. This is my attempt at a logo for
my High School to use for Alumni/reunions.

Made in Picture Publisher 8. I got bored and wanted to make
a logo that expressed my feelings of an earthquake.

Logo made in PC Paintbrush - blurred edges added with Picture
Publisher 8. A logo I use to paste in a corner of pictures that
will be used in my friend's Railroad related group.
