Finishing Details
Now's the time to go thru your tube collection and your clip art to add some finishing details to the painting that will make it uniquely yours! I added a person flying a kite, the American flag, some birds and butterflies, and a kitty watching the butterflies. You add whatever you want to customize your painting! Maybe a dog, a child playing, a formation of geese in the sky, people on a picnic, some birdhouses, a barn in the background, a picket fence around the house, a pond in the yard ....lots of things can be done to make YOUR painting look different than mine. ;-)This is also a good time to make any final adjustments. Because we placed nearly everything on a layer of its own, adjustments are easy to make.
- Place each new item on a new layer of its own.
- Move things around and try different positions. Easy to do when it's the only item on a layer ...no need to select first, just use the Mover Tool to reposition.
- Things that are in the background should be smaller than things that are in the foreground.
- Lower the opacity of some objects or lower the color saturation to make them look faded and further away!
- Don't forget to change the size of the images to be in scale with nearby objects.
