Zoner Draw 4 has some interesting filters built in so you can play with images once they are selected. These allow you to change the way the image is viewed, either by making it softer, changing colour, or embossing, etc.

Zoner Draw 4 will allow the use of some Photoshop filters. All you have to do is go to View > Preferences > Plugins and find the file where these may be kept for other programs. Once the link has been established, the filters are available for use. This enables manipulation of photos that would otherwise need to be done in another program.

Above is the standard toolbar menu and below is the galleries menu. You have a choice about whether you want the galleries dockable on the desktop or displayed as shown here. This is a useful way of creating a larger work environment, as it offers you all the choices of the dockable menus, without using so much space.
